Site Improvements of Restructuring Traffic Flow & Residential Drop-Off at the Edgartown Transfer Station.

Key Points of improvement:
1) Congestion
2) Safety
3) Compliance
4) Cost

Congestion:
                    Over 10 vehicles at one to time using facility creates congestion.
Safety:  
Improve traffic flow and safety by separating commercial traffic from household users.
Mixing big haulers with the family vehicle creates dangerous situations for staff and customers.  
Residents exiting cars pose major safety issues at bag drop off windows along with heavy equipment operating and commercial traffic from scale operations.    
   
      Compliance:
Proper separation of current MASS DEP waste ban material.
Better processing of packaging material for cost savings shipping
Free work space up to ensure for future compliance requirements.
     Cost:
No anticipated increase to tax levy                        
Better separation and packaging will reduce truck traffic going off Island
Reduce Boat cost with better recycle and reuse practices.
