Welcome to the Martha's Vineyard Refuse Disposal District. The District is made up of four towns, Edgartown, West Tisbury, Chilmark and Aquinnah. 750 Edgartown West Tisbury Road is both the main Transfer Station and the Edgartown drop-off center. The Edgartown Transfer Station proudly serves all residential and commercial clients on Martha's Vineyard.
Residents of Aquinnah, Chilmark, Edgartown and West Tisbury, with their respective town dump stickers, can dispose of recycling at their local drop off centers free of charge, and dispose of household garbage for a small fee. Hazardous Waste products can be disposed of free of charge at the Edgartown Transfer Station. All batteries are accepted during normal business hours, and other hazardous waste products are accepted during specific drop off days, three times a year.
